Questions

Good to
know.

Quick answers before you install.

01Why does it need Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions?

The Mac app uses them to read the image name under your pointer, and only while you hold the key. Nothing it reads is saved or sent anywhere.

02Does anything leave my computer?

Your images are not uploaded. Online images load from their website, just as they do in your browser.

03Which version should I use?

Use the Mac app for image names anywhere on your desktop, or the Windows beta if you’re on a PC. Use the Chrome extension for images on web pages.

04Which image formats does it preview?

It previews common image formats, including PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF. HEIC and TIFF support depends on your computer or browser.

05Why Option, and can I change it?

Option keeps your usual Mac shortcuts free. Open Settings to change the key or make the preview larger.
